It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Nevelle Stevens Payne of Preston, Georgia, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Worthy Stevens and Olive Nevelle Coker Stevens; her husband Tommy Ray Payne; and her brother Benjamin Worthy Stevens. She is survived by: her children, Samantha Willis of Preston, Brian Christopher Payne (Jennifer) of Parrott and Andrew Murray Payne (Lori) of Weston; her grandchildren, Trey Robinson (Erica) of Americus, Mikayla Willis of Americus, Olivia Bivins (Zack), Sydney Payne and Jameson Payne; and her great grandchildren, Dalton Robinson and Greer Bivins.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Preston Baptist Church (6677 Cass St, Preston, GA 31824).
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Preston Baptist Church.
