She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel Josephus Johnson and Willie Pearl Holley Johnson; and her siblings, Bernice Johnson Cullison, R. E. Johnson and Buddy Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Pelfrey (Casey) of Phenix City, AL, Jay Spann of Preston and William H. Spann, Jr. of Preston; her brother Frank Johnson (Susan) of Preston; her grandchildren, Scott Cook, Kelly Pelfrey Favors (Galin) and Elizabeth-Claire "Liz" Pelfrey; and her great grandchildren, Malana Johnston, Gabe Reed, Parker Favors, Gracie Favors and Declan Cook.
Memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, Sumter Retirement Village in Plains or to the American Cancer Society.
