She was predeceased by: her mothers, Clara (Bonds) and Ernestine Knowlin; and her siblings, Monroe, Rosetta, Lila-Bell, Melvin Jr. (Bud), Retha, Ruby and Mary Lou.
She is survived by: her children, Vera "Vernie" Knowlin of Charlotte, NC, Michael Knowlin (Patrice) of Fayetteville, NC, Kenneth Knowlin of Georgetown, SC, Tammy Knowlin of Hartford, CT, Jeffrey Knowlin (Drame) of Atlanta, GA., Jesse Knowlin of Atlanta, GA. and Nakesha Knowlin of Atlanta, GA.; and her sisters, MaryLou Knowlin (Riah) of Manchester, CT, Esther Ratemo and Anna Omboto. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren; along with a host of relatives.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Grace (118 Conifer St, Andrews, SC 29510). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Paul A. M. E. Church (2569 Powell Rd, Georgetown, SC 29440).
