She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Bastian and Virginia Bastian; and her brothers, Bill Hood and Michael Bastian. She is survived by: her husband Clifford S. Hammonds of Powder Springs, GA; her sons, Christopher Hammonds (Nicole) of Pensacola, FL and Aaron Hammonds (Shanelle) of Pensacola, FL; her sisters, Carol Leonard-Prince of Woodstock, GA and Roseann Nichols of Powder Springs, GA; and her grandchildren, Savannah Hammonds and Chase Hammonds. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

The family has requested that donations be made in Geri's name to the Wounded Warriors Project at support.woundedwarriorproject.org .
