He was predeceased by: his son David Jason Garner. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Hendrick Garner; his children, Dr. Pamela Garner Cain (Dan) of Acworth, GA, Jason Craig Garner (Roslynn) of Acworth, GA, Lauri Heintz (Rich) of Douglasville, GA, Melissa Caldwell (Chris) of Powder Springs, GA and Charles Craig Garner of Powder Springs, GA; his grandchildren, Trey Cain (Vita), Ashley Neal (Erik), Alexis Watkins (Jamil), Tara Grace Garner (Blake), Justin Heintz, Kirsten Heintz, Collin Caldwell and Ryanne Caldwell; his great grandchildren, Aliya Watkins, Jana Watkins, Abel Watkins, Ana Cain, Emi Cain, Tommy Cain, Stella Neal and Elianna Greer; and his sisters, Dr. Pam Rosett (Jim), Cindy Pharr (Bill), Gina Schecter (Jay), Becky Stanchfield (Malcolm) and Marcie Heiter (Eric). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel (3940 Macland Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
