With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Carter in Portal, Georgia, born in Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on February 10, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Walter shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Walter farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carter Sr. and Emma Victoria Carter. He is survived by: his wife Marie Carter; his children, Terence Carter (Justina) and Karen Yvonne (Carter) White (Robert Jr.); his granddaughters, Crystal Yvonna Nichole (Carter), Felder (Jarvis) and Christina Joya Marie White; and his siblings, James Carter (Lucille), Sarah Smalls (Carter), Ernestine Harrield (Carter), Clara Carter and Jacqueline Carter. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall (15 E Parrish St, Statesboro, GA 30458).
