He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph K. Haupt and Elease H. Haupt (McCormick); his brothers, Ken Haupt (Glenda) and Larry Haupt (Vanessa); and his brother-in-law Harold Arrington.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Haupt; his children, Faith Ann Haupt and Michael Thomas Haupt Jr. (Karyn); his stepdaughter Dawn West (Kirk); his grandchildren, William A. Smich, Amelia L. H. Anguiano, Thomas F. J. West (TJ), Lyssa S. M. West and Kai M. L. West; and his sister Diane H. Arrington. He is also survived by nieces and nephew, and many many close friends.
