He is survived by: his sister Bobbie Jane Gay (Tommy) of Cordele; his niece Jenni Carpenter (Todd Rice); his nephew Riner Gay (Weatherly); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mattie Jane Carpenter, Emmaline Carpenter, Ellison Gay, Lawrence Carpenter and Thomas Gay.
