It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Carline Rice of Port Wentworth, Georgia, born in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Newton Gunter and Clara Olds Gunter; her brother Charles; and her grandson Joshua Mark Rice. She is survived by: her husband Charlie M. Rice, Jr.; her sons, Charlie N. Rice (Aviva) and Christopher M. Rice (Michelle); and also, Charlie R. Rice (Mary), Beth Hatter (Michael), Teresa Caldwell (Jack), Charles Feagain, Andrew A. Rice, Isabella Caldwell, Grady Caldwell, Samuel Hatter, Megan Rice, Amanda Rice, Abigail Rice, Ella Rice, Ava Rice and John Owen Haverland.
