He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lamar Salter, Sr. and Alice Lucille Smiley Salter; and his brother James Earl Salter, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Amy Salter; his daughter Janeen McAbee (Richard); his grandchildren, Dr. Jessica Coleman (Jimmy) and Ricky McAbee; and his great grandchild Jordyn Coleman. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
