He was predeceased by: his siblings, Melinda Bellew and Ronald Broussard. He is survived by: his wife Sheila W. Broussard; his sons, Richard J. Broussard, Jr. and Paul D. Broussard; his daughter-in-law Toni Broussard; his grandchildren, Blaine Broussard, Bryce Broussard and Sydney Marie Molter (Tyler); his great grandchild Ryder Molter; and his siblings, Bobbi Seckinger, Renee Sitton (Larry), Rehn "Randy" McCorkel (Doris), Spergan Broussard, Jr., Rodney Broussard, Ralph Broussard and Cindy Melancon (Rick). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
