He was predeceased by: his parents, Zachary Stafford and Mary Butler Stafford. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Davis Clemons Stafford; his children, Ron Stafford (Gwendolyn), Brian Clemons (Amber), Brandon Clemons (Tonya), Michelle Markles (Mike) and Ricky Clemons, Jr.; his niece Pam Tyler (Mike); his nephew Ricky Rodi (Trish); his great-nephew Zachary Tyler (Christine); and his pets, Radar and Sierra. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
