We bid farewell to Mildred Pope Yeomans (Pooler, Georgia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 12, 2024 at the age of 96. Mildred Pope touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Travis Yeomans; her parents, Henry Carson Pope, Sr. and Minnie Lee Pope Tedder; her siblings, James Pope, Henry Pope, Caroll "Buddy" Tedder, Louise Zeigler and Elizabeth Pallace; her brother-in-law Carroll Zeigler; and her son-in-law Al Watts.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gail Watts, Barbara Griffin (Alton) and Joyce Stafford (Rodney); her grandchildren, Terry Douberley (Dale), Tony Watts (Erin), Cindy Farmer (Corey), Lee Griffin and Justin Stafford (Amanda); and her siblings, Carolyn Greene (Johnny), Patricia Carlton (Alvin) and Fred Tedder (Ann). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes – West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes – West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Gravel Hill Cemetery (1501 US-80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302).
