We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2024, Margaret Idell Smith of Pooler, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Tammy Presley Mayton; her parents, James Bacon and Nellie Shearouse Bacon; and her siblings, Dorothy Stokes and James "Dick" Bacon.
She is survived by: her husband Roy T. Smith; her children, Michael Presley and Lisa Fletcher (Scotty); her stepsons, Jeff Smith and Brian Smith; her grandchildren, Shannon Presley (Stephanie), Nicholas Fletcher, Miranda Fletcher, Zachary Presley, Joshua Presley (Amy), Summer Presley and Courtney Presley; and her stepgrandchildren, Wyatt Smith, Waylon Smith, Tessa Smith and Payton Smith. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes – West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322).
