He was predeceased by: his parents, Kibbie Cowart and Claudia Powell Cowart; his former wife Sybil Whitaker Cowart; his daughters, Joyce, Bev and Monnie; and his brothers, Jerry, Keith, Charles and Harvey.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Cowart; his son Randall McLeod; and his siblings, Larry, Kibbie, Jr. and Sheila James. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to the Monica Ergle Scholarship Fund at Pooler First Baptist Church.
