He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul Morris and Mary Jane Powell. He is survived by: his wife C. Mirim Morris; his son Thornton Whatley Morris, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Ann Lazzo Morris; his son Scott Whatley Morris; his daughter-in-law Lee Taylor Morris; his daughter Vann Morris; his stepchildren, Ash and Ben Damen; and his grandchildren, Rachel, Emily Morris, Louise and Wilson Morris.
