Though Rachel Ray may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rachel Ray touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Robert Ray and Maudie Harris Ray; her husband Jack Miller; and her siblings, Charles Ray, Jim Ray, Ruth Wilson, Eunice Carmack and Ruby Ray.
She is survived by: her son Jim Miller; and her brother Roy Ray.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701). The lying in state will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Unity Baptist Church (165 Earl St, Plainville, GA 30733). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Scott Cemetery.
