She was predeceased by: her parent Lonnie Bennett; and her siblings, James Bennett, Homer Bennett and Adamae Paris. She is survived by: her parent Salley Alma Bennett; her spouse Albert F. Freeman; her son Rodney Freeman; her children-in-law, Gayle L. Freeman and Deborah Gay; and also, Angela Hyde and Gary Hyde. She is also survived by grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great-grandchildren.
