He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas H. Nicholson; and his brother Michael Nicholson. He is survived by: his parent Grace Ingram Nicholson; his spouse Melba Lynn Blalock Nicholson; his children, Gerald Blake, Tammy Nicholson, Melanie Robin Nicholson and Christy Nicholson; his grandchildren, Jordan Lynn Roberts, Madelyn Grace Roberts, Stone Lucas Nicholson, Lloyd Jeremiah "L. J." Nicholson, Destiny Alexis Lamb and Meleah Shea Cornwell (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Adaley Nicole Cornwell, Maverick Andrew Cornwell and Emersyn Raye Bryant; and his brother-in-law Rodney Blalock (Lori). He is also survived by cousins and many close friends.
