Betty Joe Bonds Obituary

Mrs. Betty Joe Bonds, age 72, of Plainville, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Bonds was born in Bartow County, Georgia on May 21, 1949, daughter of the late John Griffin Adams and the late Jessie Lee Brown Adams Sexton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Delmas Bonds, by a daughter, Constance Melinda Bonds, by a grandson, Spenser Bonds, and by three sisters, Dot Goodwin, Janice Champion, and Patsy Scarbrough. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Bonds worked at Kellogg's in Rome. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Bonds-Carmon (Shannon), Plainville; three sons, Ricky Bonds, Centre, AL, Jerry Bonds, Rome, and Gary Bonds (Marie), Centre, AL; a sister, Annie Lee Brownlow; two brothers, Howard Adams (Mary) and Gene Adams (Dot); thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Reynolds officiating.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Saturday from 2pm until the service time.
