He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shepherd and Bonnie Shepherd; and his brothers, Tim Parks and L. E. Parks. He is survived by: his children, Heath Parks (Patricia), Melissa Bankston (Chris) and Tonia Lowman (Gregg); his siblings, Thomas Parks and Jennie Childers; and his grandchildren, Josh Smith, Devon Smith, Whitney, Britney Parks and Jamie Parks. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
