He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Stallmann Dede; his daughter Jocelyn Moore; and his siblings, Jane Powell, Roland Dede, Eldred Dede and Albert Dede.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Heckler (Douglas) of Southport, NC, Elizabeth Dede of Americus and Charles Dede (Houston Carruth) of San Antonio, TX; his son-in-law Donald Moore; his grandsons, Michael Heckler (Mary), David Heckler (Allison Key), Ethan Moore and Andrew Moore; and his great grandchildren, Henry Heckler and Mark Heckler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Lutheran Church (304 N Bond St, Plains, GA 31780).
