He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Poss and Jeanie Azalee Grice; his brother Johnny C. Poss; and his former wife Pat Poss. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Poss; his daughters, Rebecca Hall (Jeff) and Jenny Turner (Eric); his sister Betty Ann Gibbs (Rodney); his grandchildren, Shawna Turner, Billie Poss, David McKever, Tristin Day and Layla Poss; and his great grandchildren, Brooklin Daniels, Christopher Daniels, Bella McKever and Ocean Beasley. He is also survived by 4 step-daughters.
