He was predeceased by: his parent Jeral Barefoot; and his sister Debra Barefoot Sutton. He is survived by: his daughter Brooke Thompson (Brian); his granddaughters, Haven Dorman (Tyler) and Ava Thompson; and his brother Gary Barefoot.
He was employed with the Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation as a supervisor.
