He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Bee and Virgie Lee Massey Barfield; and his sisters, Joyce Glisson, Josie Mae Nations and Shirley Ann Wilkes.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Harden Barfield of Pitts; his children, David Barfield (Stacy) of Vienna Ga, Sheila Barfield of Pitts Ga and Robin Kimbrel (Danny) of Cordele Ga; his grandchildren, Daniel Kimbrel (Whitney), Jared Kimbrel and Bailey Barfield; his great grandchildren, Aubry Kimbrel and Paisley Kimbrel; his pet Windham; and also Grand Puppy.
