She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvah Thomas and Lillian Padgett Hardy. She is survived by: her husband Benny Benitez of Pineview; her son Steve McCook of Newnan; and her siblings, Tommy "Babs" Hardy of Sellersburg, Indiana and Dianne Mills of Macon. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and five adopted grandchildren.
