He was predeceased by: his parents, Anderson Reed and Mary Langston Reed; his brother James Benjamin "Ben" Reed; his granddaughter Emily Campbell; and his pet Prissy.
He is survived by: his wife Edwina B. Reed of Pinehurst; his children, Rhonda Campbell (Randall) of Pinehurst, Amy Bush (Lee) of Unadilla, Mark Reed (Paige) of Pinehurst and Jim Reed (Gina) of Marietta; his sister Jan Preston (Jeffrey) of Unadilla; his sister-in-law Kay Reed of Bishop; his grandchildren, Tyler Harpe, Kayla Harpe, Reed Harpe (Bailey), Luke Campbell, Tiffany Barfield (Kyle), Tyler Campbell, Austin McIntyre (Amber), Lauren McIntyre, Jordan McIntyre, Ryan Reed and Rylee Reed; and his brother Lonnie Clayton.
