He is survived by: his wife Marion Smith of Pinehurst; his children, Amy Boyer (Ken) of Forsyth and Mark Smith (Paula) of Pinehurst; his sister Jeanne Kent of Pinehurst; and his grandchildren, Quint Smith (Jordan Moseley), Daniel Boyer, Mandy Smith (Kyle Angermeyer) and Sarah Boyer.
