He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Jewell Sumlar. He is survived by: his daughters, Terrie Burke (Johnnie Holcombe), Shelly Vanzile, Cheryl Smith (Darryl) and Kristin Ortiz (Bryan); and his sisters, Barbara Moore, Jeanette Bonnett and Peggy Garrett. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
