He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sponholz and Lois Wimmer Vaclav. He is survived by: his wife Alice Sponholz; his children, Richard Sponholz, Michael Sponholz and Kimberly Cavenaugh (Drew); his grandson Wesley Sponholz; his sister Cheri Kitoman; his nieces, Beth and Sarah Dorshak; and his nephew Chad Sponholz.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Callaway Gardens.
