She was predeceased by: her parents, J. T. Huff and Susie Merrell Huff; her husband Charles Dowden; her son Larry Wayne Dowden; her granddaughter Christy Smith; and her siblings, Gloria Jackson, Helen Thompson and James Huff.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Devier (Dena), Donna Sue Smith (Lee) and Joseph Alton Dowden (Jodi); her siblings, Charlie Huff, Don Huff (Kathy), Barbara Hyde and Margaret Whitley; and her grandchildren, Zack, Laura, Mitch, Boots, Leigh, Matt, Jennifer, Josh, Tejay, Gabe, Valerie, Jayde and Jack. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the missions fund at Rosemont Baptist Church.
