He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leotis and Maxine; his spouse Jeri Ellis Whitaker of Columbus, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Annabel and Joel Loftin; his great grandchild Stephanie; and his stepsiblings, Charles "Bob" Willis and Barbara "Ann" Reese.
