He is survived by: his wife Gerlene; his children, Debbie Johnson (Garrett), Adolphus Hightower, Gregory Hightower (Kathleen) and Jeffery Hightower; his brother Robert Hightower, Jr. (Christine); and his uncle Rev. James E. Hightower, Sr.. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
