She is survived by: her daughter Vicki McGruder; her stepdaughter Rose Marie Sherman; her son Kenneth McGruder; her siblings, Elizabeth Hill, Dorothy Williams, Vernetta Shepherd, Lucille Robinson, Earl Shepherd (Mary) and Leonard Shepherd; her siblings-in-law, Janet Shepherd, Vivian Shepherd and Joseph Ellison; and her close friends, Melvin Spratlin, Lester Smith and Church. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
