He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Clinton and Ruby E. Powell Amyx; his former wife Shirley Loraine; his siblings, Ronnie Amyx, Ilene Babcock, Barbara Jo Charles and Juanita Landers; his son Joe Ross; and his grandson Jacob Amyx.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Amyx of Perry, Georgia; his children, DeAnn Amyx (Tom Budnick), Penny Amyx, Jim Amyx, Ryan Ross (Jennifer) and Bill Ross; and his siblings, Roger Amyx and Cynthia Norka. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great-nephews.
