He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard, Sr. Peyton and Beatrice McElmurray Peyton; his former wife Lucille "Lucy" Kovac Peyton; and his siblings, Howard Peyton, Jr. and Peggy Joiner.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Garvin Peyton of Perry; his children, Pattie Queener of Montezuma, Sheila Harris (Wayne) of Perry, Linda Fesmire (Chris) of Eatonton, Susan Helton (Billy) of Macon and Gary Brantley (Rhonda) of Macon; his sister Shelby Lane of Longview, Texas; and his caregivers, Frances, Vanessa, Janice, Pearl, Jackie, Pat, Margo, Naydean and Tyi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Way Baptist Church (1964 Marshallville Rd, Perry, GA 31069). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the Shriner Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29605, or the donor's favorite charity.
