It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Rawlins Nowell of Perry, Georgia, born in Tucker, Georgia, who passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alpha Rawlins, and Carter Rawlins, Sr.; her husband Sidney Glenn Nowell, Jr.; and her siblings, Mattie Sue Hayes, Carter Rawlins, Jr., Nick Rawlins and Jack Rawlins.
She is survived by: her son Sid Nowell III (Denise) of Perry, GA; her granddaughters, Holly Munroe (Jorge) of Orlando and Heather Wetzel (Travis) of Fort Mill; and her great grandchildren, Jordan, Jaime, Liam and Lincoln.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Cross Pointe Baptist Church 645 Perry Parkway, Perry, GA 31069.
