It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Eckman (Perry, Georgia), born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldamor Gustaf and Astrid Larson Eckman; his brother-in-law Bill Schultz; and his grandson Noah Eckman. He is survived by: his wife Marva Piepenbrink of Perry; his sons, Mark (Jenny Eckman), Curt (Vickie Eckman), Craig (Cynthia Eckman) and Troy (Jennifer Eckman); his grandchildren, Katie Eckman, Abbey Eckman, Taylor Eckman Connelly (Taylor), Melissa Eckman Wenger (Collin), Justin Eckman, Lydia Eckman, Rebekah Eckman, Samuel Eckman and Isaiah Eckman; his great grandchildren, Sage Connelly and Calum Wenger; and his siblings, Warner Eckman (Jan) of Burlington, NC, Carolyn Schultz of Perry and Tom "T. J." Eckman (Janie) of Charlottesville, VA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Christ Lutheran Church - Thee Lord's Table, 208 Langston Road, Perry, GA 31069.
