She was predeceased by: her parents, Jehu Tyson and Nora Mae Mason Tyson; her brothers, Carlton Tyson, Willie J. Tyson and Floyd Tyson; and her husband James Winfred "Jim" Self.
She is survived by: her children, Gina Self Reed (Jamey) of Cordele, Derick Self of Haynesville and Renora Self of Haynesville; her grandsons, Ryland Reed of Cordele and Reese Reed of Cordele; and her sisters-in-law, Billie Joe Tyson of Brookfield, Barbara Tyson of Perry, Wanda Tyson of Tifton, Shirley Peterson of Ocala, FL and Linda Ingram of Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
