It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Dukes (Perry, Georgia), born in Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on August 13, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha Dukes, Sr. and Mary Watkins Dukes; his siblings, Sammy Dukes, Elisha Dukes Jr., John Dukes and Martha Norris; his children, Warnell Harpe Jackson and Jimmy Harpe; and his grandson Christopher Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Dukes of Perry and Janice Dukes (Brian Downie) of Newnan; his daughter-in-law Denise Harpe of Forsyth; and his grandchildren, Jason Harpe (Heather) of Thomasville, Rachel Reeves of Forsyth, Allison Jones of Hillsboro and Lauren Downie of Newnan. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
