She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hugh Blakely and Elizabeth Paul Blakely; her brother-in-law Michael R. Dawkins; her sister Hariette A. Green; and her husband Henry Dawkins.
She is survived by: her son Robert Paul; her daughter-in-law Cindy Dawkins of Laurens; her daughter Kathy D.; her son-in-law William H. "Bill" Hightower, IV of Thomaston; her granddaughters, Lindsey E. Dawkins (Justin) of Simpsonville, Madison O. Pope (Johnny) of Valdosta and Meredith H. Melton (Jordan) of Hartsville; her great grandchild Julian Rhys Thomason; and also, Avery Pope of Valdosta, Blakely Ann Melton of Hartsville and Taylor Pope of Valdosta. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
