He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Smith and Nora Smith; his siblings, Welborn Smith, Dozier Smith, E. Raymond Smith, Bobby Lee Smith and Shelby June; and his former wife Hilda Joy Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Barney Smith, Jr. (Jan), Scott Smith (Debi) and Tony Smith (Sonja); and his grandchildren, Mandy, Trey, Heather, Stuart, Leslie and Lauren. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
