He is survived by: his children, Jack Dempsey Kent, III (Amanda Kort) and Ashley Kent North of Gainesville; his sister Susan Kent Brown; his brother-in-law David Brinson Brown; his nephew David Brinson Brown, Jr. of Statesboro; and his niece Sarah Kathryn Brown.
