She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Henry Gilbert and Annie Louise Talbert Gilbert; her husband C. Robert "Bob" Bates; and her sister Ramona Carolyn Worley. She is survived by: her daughter Melissa "Missy" Peek (David) of Hoschton; her granddaughter Celeste Peek Bates of Pendergrass; her great grandchild Katie Beth Bates; and her siblings, Alice Gilbert of Daytona Beach, Charles Gilbert (Herlene) of Marietta and Bob Gilbert of Daytona Beach.
