He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Gamble Johnson and Hazel Marie Reavis Johnson; his children, Michael Gamble Verger and Tammy Lorene Bailey; and his brother David Philip Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Caggianelli Johnson; his children, Ryan Johnson (Whitney) of Pendergrass and Melissa Johnson of Maysville; and his siblings, Ed Johnson, Recia Carson and Thresia Hallam. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
