He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman Davis and Ola Mae Smith Davis; his sons, Russell Allen Davis and Herbert Ronald "Ronnie" Davis; and his brother Marlin C. Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Shelba Davis of Pembroke.
