She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Godbee, Sr. and Merkie Jane Collins Godbee; her husband Ronnie Gene McGowan; her children, Stacey McGowan and Ronnie McGowan; and her siblings, Bennie Godbee, Jr., Lamar Godbee, Robert Gordon, Billy Godbee, Franklin Godbee, Barbara Godbee, Marie Sheley, Bertie Hodges and Frances Collins.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Godbee (Kristi) of Portal, Tabitha Godbee of Pembroke and Heather Williams (Billy) of Sylvania; her siblings, Jackie Gordon (Debbie) of Portal, George Gordon of Guyton, Milton Godbee (Deanna) of Concord and Dianne Collins of Sylvania; her grandchildren, Makayla Jones, Breanna Godbee, Dailey Williams, Billy Williams, Jr., Briley Williams, Christopher Parrish, Ciera Parrish, Dylan Allen, Alana Stewart, Colton Stewart and Kaitlyn Hanks; and her great grandchildren, Ashton Simmons and River Parrish. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory (197 S College St, Pembroke, GA 31321). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
