Sydney Ann Bowen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sydney Ann Bowen (Pelham, Georgia), who passed away on April 15, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Cecile Shields; and her husband Charles "Chuck" Bowen. She is survived by: her children, Leslie Hodges (Bobby Hodges), Lisa Stephens (Gary), Lari Lavigne (Patrick), Charles "Bo" Bowen and Brad Bowen (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Raina Miranda Chelsea (Elijah), Peyton Hodges, Benji Goldman, Brannen Goldman (Amber), Tyler Lavigne, Alayna Bowen, Alexandra Bowen, Braden Bowen, Christian Bowen, Hudson Bowen, Preston Bowen and Bailey Bowen. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pinecrest Cemetery (3469 US-19, Pelham, GA 31779). A reception was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Home of Bobby & Leslie Hodges (331 Burum St SW, Pelham, GA 31779).
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial contributions to be made to the Heritage Church Storehouse in Moultrie, Georgia, one of Syd's favorite places to shop, with all proceeds going toward global missions.
