He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Eugene Bentley and Hazel Inez Taylor Bentley; and his brother Talmadge Bentley. He is survived by: his wife Lynette Flowers Bentley of Pelham; his sons, Duane Bentley (Melea) of Pelham, Randy Bentley (Amanda) of Camilla and Kenley Bentley (Amber) of Pelham; his brothers, Durwood Bentley (Sybil) of Pelham, J. T. Bentley (Muriel) of Pelham and Venson Bentley (Cheri) of Pelham; his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Bentley of Pelham and Cecil Flowers of Pelham; his grandchildren, Kaleb Bentley (Meg), Austin Bentley, Leann Bentley, Lori Bentley, Carli Bentley and Reed Bentley; and his great grandchild Hollis Bentley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
