He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett Edward Payne, Jr. and Betty Ruth Dean Carroll; and his grandchildren, Dessire Payne and Triston Payne. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hayes Stills Payne of Pelham; his children, Melissa Kent of Moultrie, Dean of Moultrie, Cleveland Payne of Moultrie, April of Moultrie and Britt Stills (Melissa) of Pelham; his grandchildren, Zachery Payne, Kinsely Payne, Peyton Payne, Lauren Payne, Cleveland Payne, Tiffany Payne and Hayes Stills; his great grandchildren, Paisley Payne, Lyndsey Payne, Piper Payne, Eden Payne, Isabella Payne and Elena Payne; and his siblings, Glen Payne, Travis Payne and Lisa Powell Humphries. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
